Samoa, formerly known as Western Samoa, is a small nation in Oceania occupying the western part of the Samoan Islands. It lies near Tonga and American Samoa. The capital, Apia, is located on the island of Upolu. Most of the population are Polynesians, and both Samoan and English are official languages. The country is celebrated for its stunning beaches, waterfalls, and lush tropical landscapes. The climate is tropical, with temperatures typically ranging between 25 and 30 °C. The best time to visit Samoa is during the dry season, from May to October.
